Bladder leakage after you cough and sneeze?

We’re officially in the thick of sick-season! Be honest, have you experienced leaking when you sneeze and/or cough? Even if it’s just a dribble, it’s still not normal OR NECESSARY.

First of all- what’s happening?

This type of bladder leakage (aka urinary incontinence) is called stress incontinence. It happens when there is increased pressure in the abdomen and pelvic floor, causing increased pressure on your bladder that then results in you peeing your pants.

Basically, your pelvic floor muscles were not able to overcome the pressure in your abdomen. WHY?

1. Tightness in the pelvic floor muscles

2. Lack of strength in the pelvic floor/core/booty

3. Lack of coordination between your core & pelvic floor.

GOOD NEWS- we can change all of this… and it’s NOT WITH KEGELS, products, medication, surgery, or wearing pads.
