How do I get rid of my csection shelf?

Gaining Scar Mobility

Gentle mobilization around the scar can be performed early post-op. Try taking your pointer and middle finger together and gently draw circles on the skin surrounding the scar. After your scar is completely healed and you get clearance to do so, you can start doing this technique on the scar itself. If you find ropiness in a certain area, spend extra time there during your scar massage. Aim for twice per day for 3-5 minutes each session. Questions about your scar? Moisturize

Once your scar is fully healed it is very important that you keep it moisturized. This will help minimize the appearance of your scar! Though you can’t control all aspects of how your scar tends to heal simply due to your genetics, using a balm can help improve it. I recommend MotherLove’s c-section cream, an all organic, herbal balm!

Sensation

If after your c-section you find that you lack sensation at your trunk and scar area (or maybe a tummy tuck) know that there is something we can do to improve this! We can use different textures to stimulate the nerve endings at the area and eventually regain sensation!
