I will come to your home for a vestibular evaluation, screening for BBPV and ruling out more serious diagnoses that can also include vertigo symptoms.

I will be assessing your dizziness using various tests and clinical signs to determine whether you require a referral to a specialized provider such as a neurologist, or a vestibular physical therapist.

It’s important to note that not all vertigo or dizziness is necessarily due to BBPV, though a fairly common diagnosis, that is something I can help distinguish.

In the case that you are experiencing vertigo due to BBPV, I can begin treatment right then and there. Yes, I am trained in the Dix Hall-pike test, Epley maneuver, and more! It is important to note that the Epley is not always the answer, as many assume.

Never heard of BBPV?

BBPV is a diagnosis that generally affects one of the inner ears. It is usually described by the patient as “when I get out of bed, bend over, look up towards the ceiling, the room starts spinning.” It can occur spontaneously, following head trauma. Patients also usually say “the room typically stops spinning after 30 seconds, but can last longer, depending.”
