Podcast Host, Stop Peeing Your Pants
I began my marathon towards a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Minnesota State University, Mankato where I graduated with my B.S. in Exercise Science with minors in psychology and sports medicine.
I felt the Lord was calling me to Arizona after college so when I found out I was accepted to PT school here in 2019, we packed up a moving truck and drove to Goodyear, AZ. Three years later I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Franklin Pierce University and later moved to Peoria, AZ.
You can find me cuddling with my goldendoodle while watching Disney movies, playing pickleball, making sourdough, floating in the pool, and eating pizza fresh off the ooni with my husband!
SPECIALIZING IN PREGNANCY, POSTPARTUM, & PELVIC FLOOR
I initially thought I was going to be a pediatric PT, but I quickly found that what I really loved was working with and educating the moms that were at the appointments!
I took a few specialty courses for pregnancy, postpartum, and pelvic floor concerns like incontinence, prolapse (heaviness), and pain with insertion (sex). I also took a deep dive into the new research on diastasis recti (abdominal separation), c-section recovery, and exercise throughout all the stages of motherhood.
Fast forward a year, I also found a true love for helping women re-connect with their core and finding strength and confidence again. This came most commonly with women that had a c-section (cesarean birth) or following a mommy makeover or tummy tuck surgery. So, I took a specialty course for this as well to better understand the surgery itself, complications, techniques, the recovery process, and appropriate progressions throughout the healing process. I love seeing women through this recovery because I see you go from not being able to get up by yourself to doing really hard core exercises and feeling so strong throughout your rehab,
Now, here we are in year beginning year 2 of my practice absolutely loving every second of it! Treating women I genuinely become friends with is such a gift. Helping moms through all the stages of motherhood is so rewarding. Watching them feel like themselves again and help them become limitless is absolutely priceless for them and me!

SPECIALIZING IN..
I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and completed my B.S from Northern Arizona University. There, I majored in exercise science and have a minor in psychology.
While working as a technician for a pelvic health physical therapist, I developed a strong foundation of patient care and a found a passion for pelvic floor PT that only grew while in physical therapy school. After getting my Doctorate, I quickly specialized in pelvic floor physical therapy and began treating a wide range of pelvic floor concerns like prolapse (uterine, bladder, rectal), pain with intercourse, and urinary incontinence (stress incontinence and urge incontinence) to name a few.
Outside of the pelvic floor, I have a lot of experience treating diastasis recti (DRA), pelvic pain, low back and neck pain, coccyx (tailbone) pain, SIJ pain, pubic symphysis dysfunction (SPD), and other common pregnancy aches and pains like round ligament pain.
My experience treating women postpartum includes pelvic floor and core rehab, full body strengthening, c-section scar mobilization, internal vaginal treatment for pelvic floor tension and other concerns, and any other full body orthopedic concerns.
As a mom of a one year old, I understand how difficult it is to prioritize yourself, but it makes me even more passionate to help other moms understand how crucial it is to rehab your body after childbirth.
I am so passionate in helping moms recover and get back to their favorite type of movement, live life without limits, and take care of their family!
I incorporate a whole body, holistic approach when assessing the needs of each patient and curate their plan according to their specific goals and needs. I believe in treating the mind, body, and spirit and creating a space where my patients truly feel seen, supported, and empowered.
When I’m not treating patients, I enjoy Pilates, hiking, listening to podcasts, coffee dates, and spending time with my husband, son, and dog.
My approach to care..
Mary Frances
Administrative Assistant + Former Patient
Hi, I’m Mary Frances! I’m Dr. Kristin’s admin—and I’m also a former patient who personally experienced the incredible impact of pelvic floor physical therapy. My journey with this work started on the treatment table, and now I have the joy of supporting the practice from the other side.
With over five years of experience in virtual assistant and administrative roles, my goal is to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes so that our patients feel cared for.
THE MISSION
Our mission is to give you the tools, customized care, and guidance in whatever stage of motherhood you’re in so you understand your body and how to care for it the rest of your life, without us.
CORE VALUES
R3 offers high quality, personalized physical therapy that targets your specific pelvic floor, pregnancy, and postpartum concern.
Expect to feel empowered to take charge of your body and health through education and tools that you can take with you forever!
We treat combining patient preferences with the most current research. I am skilled in a variety of manual therapy techniques and use them when it would benefit the patients concerns, however exercise continues to remain the most effective and best long term solution there is.
Each treatment session will include a new and progressed workout plan to help you achieve your goals in 4-8 sessions. My patients get better so much quicker because they are progressed appropriately and motivated by their same-day results of (for example) less bladder leakage, decreased pain, or feeling generally stronger.
