Why You’re Leaking After a C-Section Birth
Many women are surprised to experience bladder leakage after a C-section, especially if they assumed pelvic floor issues only happen with vaginal birth. In this episode, we talk through how your pelvic floor is still deeply impacted by pregnancy and surgery, even without pushing. We break down why sneezing, coughing, laughing, running, and jumping can lead to stress incontinence after a C-section, and how changes in pressure, coordination, and muscle function play a role.
We also dig into how scar tissue from a C-section can affect surrounding layers of tissue, nerves, and movement patterns—sometimes contributing to urgency or urge incontinence. Understanding what’s happening inside your body is the first step to healing, and it can be incredibly empowering to realize that leaking isn’t something you just have to “live with.” Learning this stuff helps women feel less broken, more informed, and way more hopeful about what their body is capable of with the right support and treatment.
I would love to invite you to my course Stop Peeing Your Pants , where you can get rid of this problem all together, and become leak-free in 90 days or less! We really shouldn’t have an issue with holding our bladder and there is always a deeper cause. For example, when I was dealing with urge incontinence, my root cause was the food/drinks that were in my diet because there were so many bladder irritants I was consuming. I lead you through all of this, the education, workouts, and have a plan on a calendar, a 1:1 session with me, private facebook group for Q & A’s! Check out both tier options below!
