Your Bladder Isn’t Broken—But It Needs Your Pelvic Floor
If you’re leaking when you sneeze, laugh, run, or squat, it’s time to understand the real relationship between your bladder and pelvic floor. Many women think something is “wrong” with their bladder, but in reality, the pelvic floor plays a major role in keeping things working the way they should. Your pelvic floor muscles are voluntary—meaning you can train them—and they help support and close the urethra, the tube that carries urine out. When those muscles are strong and coordinated, they act like a supportive sling, holding everything in place and preventing leaks during movement or pressure.
In this episode, we also talk about your detrusor muscle—the one inside your bladder that actually pushes the urine out (just like your uterus pushes during birth!). You don’t need to bear down or “push to pee”—and doing so can actually make things worse. Instead, we’ll walk through how to identify what your body is doing, why leaking might be happening, and how to start rebuilding control and confidence. If you’re ready to stop peeing your pants, this episode is your first step toward understanding and healing—check out the Stop Peeing Your Pants course for more support.
I would love to invite you to my course Stop Peeing Your Pants , where you can get rid of this problem all together, and become leak-free in 90 days or less! We really shouldn’t have an issue with holding our bladder and there is always a deeper cause. For example, when I was dealing with urge incontinence, my root cause was the food/drinks that were in my diet because there were so many bladder irritants I was consuming. I lead you through all of this, the education, workouts, and have a plan on a calendar, a 1:1 session with me, private facebook group for Q & A’s! Check out both tier options below!
