3 Postpartum Orthopedic Problems Causing Stress And Bladder Leakage

After having a baby, many women expect some pelvic floor weakness—but what they don’t realize is that bladder leakage is often tied to problems far beyond the pelvic floor. Your body works as one connected system, and when certain joints and muscles aren’t moving or supporting you the way they should, it can create extra pressure on the bladder and pelvic floor. In fact, there are three orthopedic problem areas I see again and again in postpartum women that can lead to stress incontinence (leaks when you sneeze, cough, or exercise) and urge incontinence (that sudden “gotta go” feeling).

Addressing these issues can make a huge difference—not just in staying dry, but in feeling strong, stable, and confident again. In this week’s episode of the podcast, I break down each of these three problem areas, explain how they’re connected to bladder leaks, and share what you can do to start improving them today. Whether you’re months or years postpartum, it’s never too late to address these underlying causes.

I would love to invite you to my course Stop Peeing Your Pants , where you can get rid of this problem all together, and become leak-free in 90 days or less! We really shouldn’t have an issue with holding our bladder and there is always a deeper cause. For example, when I was dealing with urge incontinence, my root cause was the food/drinks that were in my diet because there were so many bladder irritants I was consuming. I lead you through all of this, the education, workouts, and have a plan on a calendar, a 1:1 session with me, private facebook group for Q & A’s! Check out both tier options below!
